According to the NHTSA approximately 42,000 lives are lost annualy on our Nation's highways. Nissan does it's part to try to reduce this number by voluntarily iniating recalls on Nissan products. If a safety defect is discovered, Nissan must notify NHTSA, as well as vehicle or equipment owners, dealers, and distributors. Nissan is required to remedy the problem (Nissan recall) at no charge to the Nissan owner.
